COFFEYVILLE — In 1999, Amazon.com opened its largest distribution center to date on an industrial access road just north of Coffeyville. It quickly became the city’s largest employer.
But in late September of this year the company announced that the facility will close its doors.
The move, which will be finalized in February, will affect about 650 current Amazon employees as well as the many temporary workers the company….
